Hello my fellow bookish friends ! You are on Maëva's blog, better known as Maevaeatsbooks on Instagram. I'm a nineteen year-old French girl, currently studying literature and creative writing at university. I mostly read fantasy and classics, though my favourite themes include mental health & queer representations, dark academian and gothic atmosphere and morally grey characters. I also love to suffer and tend to give 5 stars to tragic books ahah. I'm still discovering myself but what I know for sure is I'm vegetarian, INTJ and a dreamer.

I'm also an aspiring author, dreaming of conveying messages to the world and enabling people to get lost in an imaginary world where they would feel at ease. I would define my aesthetic as dark academia - too many old books on my shelves, half-burned candles on my desk, feeling soothed when the dusk colors the sky and the rain patters the window, plaid blazers, high-waisted elegant pants, prefering my own company and research to people, collecting antiquités, quoting Dead Poets Society, Keats, Dickinson and latin sentences.
